A while back Gossamer Gear ran a competition to win some LT4 trekking poles for its Trail Ambassador members. Several hundred photos were submitted. Fellow UK-based David Linton and myself cleaned up, bagging a pair of LT4 poles each. Having used them over some gnarly terrain and bagged a few mountains summits to boot, I decided a review was in order. Continue reading
I had planned a week’s walk in June, but life issues, commitments and stuff of late dealt me another hand. I needed a Scotland fix, to chase some views. Train ticket booked, rucksack packed; I arrived in Blair Atholl ready for 3 days alone in the hills, then a planned meet-up with Chris.
Scotland was good, the midges behaved, the weather was decent. The views simply stunning at times. I got home this morning to a flood damaged home from a burst pipe – so the trip report will be a few days. Some more photos.
I’m getting older, and the days of stuffing some spare clothing in a stuff sack is growing boring for me. I appreciate my sleep.
